Does the cover actually come off and go in the washing machine?
Yes. The cover unzips completely off the foam core and Liberator describes it as fully machine-washable. Underneath it is a separate moisture-resistant poly/nylon liner, which you wipe down rather than wash. The foam core itself never goes in a machine. Follow the sewn-in care label for temperature.
Usage
What happens if fluids get through the cover?
The liner is moisture-resistant, not waterproof — there is no IP rating on a foam pillow, and we will not pretend otherwise. One retailer rates the Jaz's water resistance as "Medium (good for most sex play but not standing water or squirting)." If fluids soak past the liner they reach polyurethane foam, which cannot be washed and takes days to dry through. Put a towel or a waterproof throw on top if you expect any volume.

14 inches deep × 18 inches wide × 6 inches high — 35.6 × 45.7 × 15.2 cm. For scale, that is roughly the footprint of a large sofa cushion and about the height of a stacked pair of bed pillows. It arrives vacuum-compressed and needs a few hours to reach full size.

Liberator specifies the core as furniture-grade high-density polyurethane foam, "fully supportive." In practice that means noticeably firmer than any bed pillow — it does not compress under body weight the way a stack of pillows does, which is the reason to buy a shape at all. Liberator publishes no weight limit for the Jaz, and we are not going to invent one. If a specific load is your deciding factor, email us and we will ask Liberator directly.

Liberator's own pitch is that it is discreet enough to pass as an ordinary decorative cushion, and at 6 inches high with a rounded profile that is fair. It has a small Liberator logo patch — the only giveaway. It also tucks under a bed or into a closet, and needs about 18 by 14 inches of floor to store.

Does it come with a warranty?
Liberator gives all its brand products a 1-year manufacturer warranty, and it is worth knowing the exact scope: it covers sewing defects. It does not cover foam softening over time or liner wear. On top of that, Red Pleasures' own 30-day Pleasure Promise applies, and every unit ships from Ottawa.

How to use, clean, and store

The first-5-minutes card in your box has the short version. This is the extended guide.

  1. 1. Unzip the shipping bag. The Jaz arrives vacuum-compressed — give it a few hours to expand fully.
  2. 2. Check that the cover is zipped closed over the liner before first use.
  3. 3. Place it on the mattress with the curved face up.
  4. 4. Slide it under the hips to raise them, which changes the angle of entry.
  5. 5. Turn it lengthwise under the shoulders or chest for oral and edge-of-bed positions.
  6. 6. Lay a towel or a waterproof throw over it if you expect fluids.
  7. 7. Lift and reposition it by hand rather than dragging it — the foam is firm and will not fold.
  8. 8. Unzip the cover and wash it afterwards.
Important: The liner resists moisture. It is not a waterproof barrier, and no foam pillow carries an IP rating. Lube or fluids that soak past the liner reach polyurethane foam, which cannot be machine washed and will stay damp for days — put a waterproof throw on top.

Liberator's foam-and-fabric bedroom shapes are made under One Up Innovations in Atlanta, and the Jaz is the one built for people who do not have room for the rest of the catalogue. It is 14 inches deep, 18 inches wide and 6 inches high — a rounded, gently ramped bolster rather than a steep wedge. Liberator's own page calls it a softer, curved incline with a smaller overall footprint, and that is an accurate description of what you get: a modest, deliberate lift, and an object you can slide under a bed or into a carry-on.

That last part is the honest reason to buy it. Every other shape in this collection is bigger. The 24-inch Wedge is a taller, squarer object with a more dramatic angle; the Jaz is the one that fits a studio apartment, a shared bedroom, or a weekend bag. Liberator's own copy names oral, doggy, reclined, solo toy play and edge-of-bed positions for it.

The construction is simple, and worth understanding before you spend the money. The core is furniture-grade high-density polyurethane foam — firm enough that it does not compress the way a stack of bed pillows does, which is the entire reason to buy a shape instead of improvising. Over that sits a moisture-resistant poly/nylon liner, and over that a removable cover that unzips and goes in the washing machine. The liner resists moisture; it is not a waterproof barrier, and there is no IP rating on a foam pillow. If you expect fluids, put a throw on top.

Two things we will say out loud rather than bury. First, price. Liberator's list price for the Jaz is $120 USD — the same list price as the much larger 24-inch Wedge. That is Liberator's price sheet, not ours, but it means the Jaz is not the value pick in this collection on a dollars-per-inch basis. You are paying for a small, firm, well-made object. If a bigger shape would fit your room, the Wedge is the better use of the same money.

Second, photography. Right now this page has two studio photos of the pillow on a white background and nothing that shows its scale next to a person or a bed. Eighteen inches across is genuinely hard to picture from a cutout on white. We are fixing that.
