Lovense built its reputation on app-connected vibrators. The Tenera 2, launched for International Women's Day in March 2024, brought that connectivity to a different kind of toy: a clitoral suction stimulator. Instead of vibrating against the skin, it uses what Lovense calls PulseSense — rapid pulses of air (up to 4,500 a minute, Lovense says) inside a wide silicone mouth that sits over the clitoris.
Lovense's app-controlled air-pulse clitoral stimulator — wide suction mouth, 43 dB at most.
The design is about comfort and discretion. The mouth is wide so it's easy to place, the body is body-safe silicone, and the whole toy weighs just 105.6 grams. Lovense rates it at 43 dB at its loudest — about the level of light rain — and Mumsnet's tester confirmed it stays discreet. It's IPX7 waterproof, so it can come into the bath or shower, and cleaning is simple: run it on high under water for a minute to flush the suction chamber.
You can use its two buttons to step the suction up and down, or pair it with the free Lovense Remote app to create patterns (it stores up to 10 of your own), sync to music, or hand control to a partner nearby or far away. Battery life is the trade-off: up to 78 minutes per charge, with a 70-minute recharge on a magnetic cable.
It's worth being honest about intensity. Mumsnet's reviewer described the suction as gentle to moderate — not the strongest on the market. For many people that's a plus: air-pulse toys can feel overwhelming, and a softer, adjustable sensation is easier to enjoy. If raw power is all you want, a simpler suction toy might suit you better.
We carry the Tenera 2 because it's one of the few suction toys built for partnered and long-distance play, and it's quiet enough to use without worry. It's backed by a 12-month Lovense warranty. Use water-based lube only. As with all intimate products, it can't be returned for change of mind. But if it arrives damaged, faulty or incomplete, tell us within 14 days and you choose a replacement or a full refund.
