Who this is for

For couples who want hands-free clitoral contact during penetrative sex, and for long-distance partners who want the app to do the work. Two sources flag fit: both of Kate Sloan's partners found it comfortable but a little tight, and silicone does not stretch far, so measure before you buy if your partner is above average girth.

Body-Safe Verified

Body-safe by design — not by claim.

The Pivot is made from body-safe silicone, free from phthalates and BPA, and made without latex. It is rated IPX7, which means immersion to one metre for thirty minutes — safe in the bath, not a swimming toy. Use water-based lubricant only; silicone lubricant bonds to silicone and ruins it. This is not a medical device. Stop using it if you feel discomfort or numbness, remove it rather than persisting, and clean it thoroughly before sharing it between partners.

Common questions

Real questions, answered by the team that tested it.

Usage
Will the Pivot fit my partner?
We cannot give you a number, and that is the honest answer. We-Vibe publishes no inner ring diameter and no stretch range for the Pivot. The only figure on its spec sheet is an unlabelled 31 mm x 71 mm, and We-Vibe never says which axis is which, so we will not present either figure as a size. What we do have is one reviewer's account: Kate Sloan tried the ring with two partners and reported that both found it comfortable if perhaps a little tight. A retailer's own blog makes the same point about girthier users. Silicone does not stretch the way a jelly ring does, so if your partner is above average girth, treat a snug fit as likely. Fit is the one criticism of this product with any corroboration behind it, and it is also the one thing we cannot give you a measurement for. Take it off rather than pushing through if it stops being comfortable.
Usage
How many vibration modes does it have, and what does the app add?
We publish ten, with a caveat we would rather state than bury. We-Vibe names eleven modes on its own product page — Low, Medium, High, Pulse, Wave, Tease, Ultra, Massage, Tempo, Ramp and Vibrate — but prints no count anywhere, and those names appear to mix intensity levels with patterns. Ten is the only number any source actually asserts, so ten is what we publish. Treat it as the conservative figure rather than a manufacturer specification. The app is the other half of the control story. The Pivot is app enabled over Bluetooth and can be driven from the same room or from another city, which makes it a long-distance toy as much as a same-room one. We-Vibe's current page calls it simply the We-Vibe app; retailers and both reviewers still call it We-Connect, which is the same platform under its older name. Two things worth knowing about that. The platforms listed on this page, iOS and Android, are the We-Vibe app's own platform support as a reviewer reports it — We-Vibe names no supported phone platforms for the Pivot specifically, so read it as the app's coverage rather than a specification for this ring. And we found no reports about app reliability in either direction, which is thin evidence rather than a clean record.
Battery
How long does the battery last, and how does it charge?
We-Vibe states up to two hours of runtime from a ninety-minute charge, on a USB-rechargeable lithium-polymer cell. Both are manufacturer figures — no one has bench-tested this model independently. One USB cable comes in the box, there is no spare, and no wall adapter is included, so you charge it from any USB port or an adapter you already own. On the connector itself we have to stop short: We-Vibe does not publish what type of charging connector the Pivot uses. Its manual says only to connect the USB charging cable to the charging port, and no manufacturer source describes it any further. We are not going to guess, so the charging method on this page is deliberately left empty rather than filled in with something plausible. Dry the charging contacts fully before the ring goes back on charge.
Usage
Can it go in the bath or the shower?
Yes. We-Vibe rates the Pivot IPX7, which means immersion to one metre for thirty minutes, and its manual states the Pivot is waterproof and can be used in the shower or bath. Rinsing it under running water to clean it is fine. We publish the IP code rather than the other phrase We-Vibe uses on the same page, "100% waterproof", because the two are not the same claim and the code is the one anyone can be held to. It is not a swimming toy. Dry it completely, charging contacts included, before it goes back on charge or into a drawer.
Body-Safe
What is it made of, and what lubricant can I use with it?
We-Vibe states body-safe silicone, free from phthalates and BPA and made without latex. That comes from We-Vibe's own product page rather than a retailer listing, which is why we publish it. What We-Vibe does not publish for the Pivot is any non-porous or medical-grade claim, so we do not make one either, even though both words get used freely across this category. Water-based lubricant only — silicone lubricant bonds to silicone and ruins it permanently. A little water-based lube on the inside of the ring also makes it easier to get on; one reviewer found it a task the first time. There is a 2 ml pjur sample in the box to start with.
General
Is it noisy, and how long will it last?
We do not know, on either count, and we would rather say so than fill the gap. No decibel figure for the Pivot exists in any source at any level. One aggregator site tags it as loud with no measurement, no method and no byline, which is not a specification, and neither of the two independent reviewers mentions noise at all. Treat it as unmeasured rather than quiet. On lifespan: it is a sealed IPX7 body around a lithium-polymer cell, backed by a two-year We-Vibe warranty. We found no durability reports, charging complaints or app failures in either direction — but this product's independent record is two bylined reviews, from 2017 and 2018, with no Reddit, Trustpilot or video coverage we could reach. Read that silence as thin evidence, not as a clean track record. This is a 2017 product, and you are buying it on two reviewers and a manufacturer spec sheet.
General
Is this the Pivot or the Pivot 2?
This is the original Pivot, SKU WE6812 in Midnight Blue. We-Vibe sells a Pivot 2 as a separate, newer product, and some Canadian retailers list the two side by side, so it is easy to buy the wrong one. Nothing on this page describes the Pivot 2 and its specifications are not these. If you have read a runtime, a charge time or a mode count somewhere else that does not match what is here, check which generation that source was describing before you assume this page is wrong.
Shipping
How will it arrive, and can I return it?
Red Pleasures holds and ships every unit from Ottawa in plain packaging. Because it ships domestically there are no customs forms and no border delays. If it is not right for you, the return is free by mail within 30 days. One thing worth knowing before you weigh the warranty: We-Vibe's two-year warranty is stated on its US product page, and the Pivot does not currently appear on We-Vibe's Canadian storefront. We hold nothing in writing about how that warranty is serviced for a unit bought in Canada — not from We-Vibe, not from a distributor. So this page will not tell you how a Canadian claim would be handled, because we do not know, and a guess about warranty service is the last thing you want from us.

How to use, clean, and store

The first-5-minutes card in your box has the short version. This is the extended guide.

  1. 1. Charge fully before first use — We-Vibe quotes 90 minutes on the USB cable in the box. A wall adapter is not included.
  2. 2. Pair it with the We-Vibe app if you want phone or remote control. Retailer listings and both reviewers still call the app We-Connect; it is the same platform under an older name.
  3. 3. Apply a little water-based lubricant to the inside of the ring. Gia at Cara Sutra found it a task to get on the first time, even though the silicone stretches.
  4. 4. Roll the ring on and position the motor so the flat top sits against the clitoris — Kate Sloan credits that squared-off shape for keeping contact during penetrative sex.
  5. 5. Cycle the modes with the button on the ring, or hand control over to the app.
  6. 6. Remove it if you feel numbness or discomfort rather than pushing through.
  7. 7. Silicone lubricant will ruin the silicone body. Water-based only.
Important: Never boil this product or put it in a dishwasher — it holds a lithium-polymer battery. Use water-based lubricant only; silicone lubricant bonds to the silicone body and ruins it permanently. Dry the charging contacts fully before putting it back on charge.
  1. 1. Switch off and unplug it from the charger before cleaning.
  2. 2. Wash in warm water with a mild soap or a gentle toy cleaner.
  3. 3. The IPX7 rating means the ring can be fully submerged, so rinsing under running water is safe. We-Vibe's manual FAQ confirms it can be used in the shower or bath.
  4. 4. Pay attention to the inside of the ring and the join around the motor housing, where lubricant collects.
  5. 5. Dry it completely, including the charging contacts, before it goes back on charge or into storage.
  6. 6. Do not boil it and do not put it in a dishwasher.
  1. Store it clean, dry and away from heat and direct sunlight. There is no pouch in the box — We-Vibe's box-contents list is the ring, a USB cable, a quick-start guide and a 2 ml pjur lube sample — so use a drawer or a bag of your own. Do not let it rest against other silicone products, because different silicone grades can bond over time. Top the charge up every few months if it is sitting unused.
  1. Charge it fully first — We-Vibe quotes 90 minutes for a full charge
  2. Use a little water-based lube to get it on; one reviewer found it a task
  3. Aim the motor at the clitoris — the flat top is what makes contact
  4. Pair the app before you start, not mid-session
  5. Expect a snug fit. Check comfort early rather than pushing through

The We-Vibe Pivot — App-Controlled Vibrating Cock Ring, Midnight Blue story

Why we made it this way.

A vibrating cock ring has one hard problem to solve. It has to sit tight enough to stay put on one body while pressing a motor against a second body in exactly the right place, and it has to do both while two people are moving. Most rings solve the first half and leave the second to luck.

App and remote control on a cock ring — a partner or a phone can drive it from anywhere.

We-Vibe's answer on the Pivot is the shape of the motor housing. Kate Sloan, reviewing it at girlyjuice.net in 2018, put her finger on it: the broad, squared-off, slightly protruding top is what keeps contact during penetrative sex rather than sliding off at the first change of angle. She also gave the honest version. She called it the closest of any vibrating cock ring she has tried to getting her off, then said plainly that she did not get there, and put that down to her own sensitivity rather than the toy. That is the useful kind of review, and it is why this page promises nobody an outcome.

The other thing reviewers keep returning to is that the motor is stronger than a ring this size suggests. Gia, writing at Cara Sutra in 2017, was surprised by the power despite considering herself hard to impress on that front, rated it 10/10, and closed with: "I believe We-Vibe knocked it out of the park with the We-Vibe Pivot." Kate Sloan describes the motor as rumbly where competing rings are buzzy — the distinction that matters if you feel vibration in the body rather than on the skin.

The specification sheet is short and mostly good. Body-safe silicone that We-Vibe states is free from phthalates and BPA and made without latex. IPX7, which is a real immersion rating rather than a splash claim. Up to two hours of runtime on a ninety-minute charge. App and remote control, which makes it a long-distance toy as much as a same-room one. Two years of warranty from We-Vibe.

The honest weaknesses are fit and evidence. On fit, Kate Sloan wrote that she tried the ring with two different partners and "both reported it was comfortable if perhaps a little tight". Silicone does not stretch the way a jelly ring does, and We-Vibe publishes no inner diameter and no stretch range, which for a product whose entire job is to fit is a real gap. Measure first.

On evidence, this page rests on two independent bylined reviews, both now several years old, plus one retailer blog. Nobody has published a decibel figure, nobody has published a product weight, and We-Vibe prints its dimensions as an unlabelled pair — 31 mm by 71 mm — without saying which figure is which. Those fields are empty here rather than guessed at.

We stock it at $118.95 because the two people who reviewed it properly both rated the motor, because the app is genuinely useful for couples who are not in the same room, and because two years of warranty on a ring at this price is a fair trade. What we will not do is dress up the gaps: this is a 2017 product with a thin review record, an unknown noise level and no published sizing, and you are buying it on the strength of two reviewers and a manufacturer spec sheet.

Pleasure With Purpose

Every purchase helps women impacted by sexual exploitation.

Pleasure With Purpose is our promise that pleasure should never come at anyone's expense. Launched in 2026 — our very first year in business — it directs 5% of every purchase to Canadian charities that support women impacted by sexual exploitation. We chose to start on day one, rather than "once we could afford it," because a brand built on consensual pleasure owes something to the women the wider industry has harmed. Every year we'll publish the numbers, the recipients, and the receipts.
