Who this is for

For anyone starting or rebuilding pelvic floor strength — most commonly after childbirth (from six weeks postpartum, with your care provider's okay) or through perimenopause and beyond. If you know you should do kegels but never keep the habit, the games are the point: they make consistency the easy part.

Common questions

Real questions, answered by the team that tested it.

Battery
Does the Perifit Care need charging?
No. It has a sealed battery designed to last for years of regular use — there is no charging port and nothing to plug in. Perifit backs the battery with a 5-year replacement warranty.
Usage
Does it vibrate?
No. The Perifit Care is a training instrument, not a vibrator — it reads your muscle contractions with pressure sensors and gives feedback through the app. There is no motor and no electro-stimulation.
Usage
What phone do I need?
The free Perifit app runs on iPhone/iPad with iOS 13 or later and Android 8 or later, and needs Bluetooth and location services enabled. It does not run on desktop computers.
Body-Safe
What is the Perifit Care made of?
Medical-grade silicone, free of BPA, phthalates, and endocrine-active substances, with European medical CE certification and FDA clearance.
Usage
Can I use it after having a baby?
Independent reviewers describe it as suitable from about six weeks postpartum — but check with your doctor, midwife, or pelvic floor physiotherapist first; every recovery is different.
Usage
How do I clean the Perifit Care?
Warm, mildly soapy water before first use and after every session, then dry fully. Never boil it or put it in a dishwasher — heat damages the sealed electronics.
Shipping
Will the packaging be discreet?
Yes. Every Red Pleasures order ships from Ottawa in a plain box with a neutral billing descriptor — and because it ships domestically, there are no customs forms or duties.

How to use, clean, and store

The first-5-minutes card in your box has the short version. This is the extended guide.

  1. 1. Download the free Perifit app (iOS 13+/Android 8+) and enable Bluetooth and location services.
  2. 2. Wash the device with warm, mildly soapy water and dry it.
  3. 3. Apply a small amount of water-based lubricant if you like — water-based only on silicone.
  4. 4. Lying down and relaxed, insert the probe; the tail stays outside.
  5. 5. Open the app, pair, and follow the calibration prompts.
  6. 6. Play a guided session — about 10 minutes is plenty to start.
  7. 7. Remove, wash, dry fully, and store dry.
Important: Never boil this device or clean it in a dishwasher — the sealed battery and electronics will fail. Warm, soapy water only.
  1. 1. Wash before first use and after every session.
  2. 2. Use warm (not hot) water and a mild, unscented soap.
  3. 3. Never boil, dishwash, or soak in hot water — heat damages the sealed electronics.
  4. 4. Rinse thoroughly and towel-dry.
  5. 5. Let it air-dry completely before storage.
  1. Store clean and fully dry in its box or a breathable pouch, away from direct sunlight and away from other silicone products. No charging routine to remember — it is always ready.
  1. Download the Perifit app before opening the box — pairing takes a minute
  2. Calibrate lying down and relaxed; your baseline sets the game difficulty
  3. Ten minutes is a full session when you are starting out
  4. The games feeling hard in week one is normal — control builds quickly

The Pelvic Floor Trainer with App-Controlled Biofeedback - Green – Perifit story

Two sensors, because one cannot tell a squeeze from a brace.

Two pressure sensors sit inside this probe, and they read different things. The superficial sensor reads the pelvic floor contraction itself. The deep sensor reads intra-abdominal pressure, which is how the app can tell a genuine pelvic floor squeeze from you bearing down or bracing your stomach — a common way unguided kegels go wrong, and one you cannot catch on your own. Perifit states the sensors detect contractions as light as 50 grams, and more than twenty phone games run off those readings.

Two sensors — so it can tell a real pelvic floor squeeze from you bracing your stomach.

Relaxation gets equal billing here, deliberately. Perifit states that every training programme in the app includes phases of contraction and phases of relaxation, usually twice as many of the latter. A pelvic floor that will not release is its own problem, and it is the half that printed kegel instructions almost never mention. The games are built to train both directions rather than only to squeeze harder, which is a design decision rather than a feature list.

Perifit Care holds United States FDA 510(k) clearance, granted in February 2023 under submission number K221476 to X6 Innovations, the Paris company behind the brand. Clearance is not the same as approval and we will not upgrade the word — it means the device was found substantially equivalent to one already on the market. In Europe it carries a Class I medical CE mark, which is self-declared by the manufacturer rather than certified by an outside body. Those are the two credentials we can point at directly, and we would rather tell you what they actually mean than let the letters do work they have not earned.

No charging port, and no motor either. The battery is sealed and non-rechargeable, rated by Perifit to last years of regular training, so there is nothing to plug in and nothing to vibrate — this is a training instrument rather than a toy. Perifit publishes a five-year guarantee on the battery specifically; the guide in the box sets a shorter term for other defects, so read that card rather than the flat five-year figure that circulates online. The body is medical-grade silicone, free of BPA and phthalates according to Perifit.

We stock it because it does the one thing a printed kegel handout cannot, which is tell you whether you are actually doing it. Ships from Ottawa in plain packaging, with no charging cable to lose.

Pleasure With Purpose

Every purchase helps women impacted by sexual exploitation.

Pleasure With Purpose is our promise that pleasure should never come at anyone's expense. Launched in 2026 — our very first year in business — it directs 5% of every purchase to Canadian charities that support women impacted by sexual exploitation. We chose to start on day one, rather than "once we could afford it," because a brand built on consensual pleasure owes something to the women the wider industry has harmed. Every year we'll publish the numbers, the recipients, and the receipts.
