Collars & harnesses

Collars, leashes and harnesses sit where fashion meets power play — worn as an accessory, a roleplay signal, or, as with a classic BDSM collar, a symbol of trust between partners. Fit is everything: a collar should sit snug without restricting breathing, and anything attached to one should be guided gently, never pulled. If you are new to this side of play, start with soft materials and an honest conversation about what the collar means to each of you. Every order ships Canada-wide in a plain, unbranded box.

How to choose

The things that actually matter when you're choosing — plain language, no spec-sheet jargon.

Day collar or play collar? A day collar is designed to be worn openly — softer, plainer, often reading as ordinary jewellery. A play collar is built for scenes: heavier hardware, a D-ring for a lead, and a more deliberate look. Plenty of people own both, for different reasons.

Fit is the whole thing. Two fingers should slide comfortably between the collar and the neck. Tighter than that is not more secure, it is just less safe, and looser will chafe as it moves. Every product page here lists material and sizing so you can measure before ordering rather than guessing.

A leash is for guiding, not pulling. Leads attach to the collar's ring to direct and connect, with gentle tension. Never apply sharp force to the neck, never leave someone leashed and unattended, and agree a signal that works when speech is not available.

Harnesses do two different jobs. Body harnesses are worn over the torso and are largely about how they look and feel. Strap-on harnesses hold a toy and need to match its base diameter — check that measurement against the harness before buying, because it is the one spec that decides whether the two work together.

Materials and care. Leather softens and shapes to the wearer but needs conditioning and must stay dry. Vegan leather and nylon take a damp cloth and are the easier first purchase. Metal hardware should be checked occasionally for burrs, especially on anything with moving parts.

Questions, answered

The questions we get most often — answered straight, with real numbers where they help.

General

What does a collar mean in BDSM?

Meaning varies by relationship — for some it's simply an accessory that sets a scene, for others collaring marks trust or commitment between partners. There's no rulebook; the collar means whatever you and your partner decide it means. Talk about it rather than assuming shared symbolism.

Usage

How should a collar fit?

Snug enough not to slide around, loose enough to slip two fingers flat between collar and neck. It should never restrict breathing or press on the front of the throat, and anything attached to a collar — like a leash — should only ever be guided gently, never pulled hard.

General

Who are collars and harnesses for?

Anyone drawn to them. Collars, leashes and body harnesses are worn across genders, body types and experience levels — as fashion, as roleplay, or as part of an established dynamic. Fit and comfort matter; identity doesn't gatekeep any of it.

Yes. Every order ships Canada-wide in a plain, unbranded box — no logo, no brand name, and no description of the contents anywhere on the outside. Your bank or credit card statement shows the charge as SP RP Chhokra Inc., so "Red Pleasures" never appears there either.
